Work Day Volunteers
We are very lucky to have an outstanding group of volunteers that help us maintain and enhance the preserve throughout the year. Some people can only manage to join us for a single day, and we are more than happy with that. We value all contributions of time, large and small, but we do have a special regard for those who have taken Sweet Springs under their wing and volunteer on a regular basis.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with MCAS and contribute to this incredible preserve that so many enjoy. The type of work includes trail maintenance, raking, weeding, and watering. Bring gloves (if you have them), a reusable water container (a big jug of water will be on hand), and any snacks you might need to get you through the morning (sometimes snacks are provided!).
To be put on the Work Day Volunteers Mailing List, and receive announcements and updates about Work Days at the preserve, email a request to MCASInfo@morrocoastaudubon.org.
Ambassadors are friendly, smiling people who are willing to commit to spending at least one hour per week (day and time of your choosing) in the Sweet Springs Nature Preserve. Ambassadors may sit, stroll the trails, watch birds, or whatever works for you! Ambassadors may answer questions, greet other visitors, and help visitors understand our Nature Preserve rules. A short training session, badges, and an informational packet will be provided prior to an ambassador having a presence in the Preserve.
Interested in spreading “goodwill” among the visitors while enjoying the Preserve?
