FIELD TRIP: Birding by Ear at San Simeon

Trip is limited to 15 participants. Signups will be taken for 24 hours.15 participants will be randomly selected. The remainder will be put on standby status in case of cancellations.
Description: It’s nesting season and the birds are singing so "Birding by Ear" is back. Join Jessica Griffiths for a bird walk along the trails and boardwalk at San Simeon, focusing on bird songs and calls. She will ID all of the bird songs heard, as well as presenting helpful tips and mnemonic devices for remembering bird songs.
Bring water, snacks, binoculars and field guides (if you have them) and dress in layers to accommodate changing weather. Sturdy shoes are recommended as there will be 1-2 miles of slow walking along mostly flat trail and boardwalk
