FIELD TRIP: Spring Birding El Chorro Regional Park
DATE: Thursday, May 12, 2022
TIME: 8:00am to 11:00am

Trip is limited to 12 participants - A waiting list will be started once the trip is full.
Join Jay and Eric for a walk through the varied habitats and surrounding environs of El Chorro Regional Park. This bird walk will be approximately one mile long at a slow to moderate pace. The terrain is gentle, over a variety of surfaces. People of any birding skill level are welcome. We’ll expect to see dozens of species with likely sightings of: White-tailed Kite, Red-shouldered Hawk, California Quail, California Scrub-jay, Western Bluebird, and possible nesting Black-headed Grosbeaks and Orioles.
Wear sturdy walking shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen, water, and snacks as needed. Bring Binoculars and a spotting scope if you wish. Dress in layers. Restrooms are available. Rain cancels. Note: Day use parking is $3.00.
Experience Level: we welcome all levels of birding experience.
