TIME: 8 – 11AM

Trip is limited to 12 participants.
Enjoy close views of waterfowl and occasional bitterns and rails from the boardwalk over Oso Flaco Lake and marsh. Bird two prime willow habitats for wintering warblers. Includes 2-3 miles of slow walking through riparian woodland, across the lake boardwalk, into the coastal sage scrub, and if time permits, we will continue to the beach in search of specialties there. Walking is on a level trail and wooden boardwalk, and possibly sand if continuing to beach.
Experience Level: Beginning to Intermediate.

Wear hat, sturdy walking shoes, and dress in layers as it can be cool and windy. Bring binoculars, sunscreen, water and snacks as needed. Restrooms are available at the trail head. Rain cancels.
