FIELD TRIP: Birding by Ear at Oso Flaco Lake

RSVP** and full vaccination required! Trip limited to 12 participants.
All participants must be fully vaccinated and have received the final dose of Covid vaccine at least 2 weeks prior to the trip.
**If you are interested in going on this field trip, RSVP to jansurbey@earthlink.net, MCAS field trips chair, to request and receive a confirmed reservation for the trip. Exact meeting time and location will be given to those with confirmed reservations.
"Birding By Ear" is back after a “COVID” break last year! Join Jessica Griffiths for a bird walk focusing on bird songs and calls. She will ID all of the bird songs heard, as well as presenting helpful tips and mnemonic devices for remembering who sings what.
Bring water, snacks, binoculars and field guides (if you have them) and dress in layers to accommodate changing weather. Sturdy shoes are recommended as there will be 1-2 miles of slow walking. All levels of birding expertise are welcome.
Although the field trip itself is being offered FREE of charge, there is a $5 per vehicle parking fee.
