WHEN: Monday • November 18th • 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: SLO Botanical Garden Oak Glen Pavilion in El Chorro Regional Park. Pavilion is just past entrance to Botanical Gardens. Park across street from Pavilion.
Audubon’s chapter network is a unique and powerful force for conservation. Anna Weinstein, marine conservation director for National Audubon and Audubon California, will share stories of her collaboration with some of our 19 coastal California Audubon chapters to win conservation fights, shed light on the ecology and status of coastal species, and inspire the public to love and care for our coast and ocean.
She will include a summary of Morro Coast Audubon Society contributions to successes in the brown pelican and black oystercatcher community science and conservation programs.
Program will be preceded by a short presentation by Cal Poly Hi Mountain Interns: Mike Rose, Kai Mills and Alon Averbuj.
All MCAS Community Programs are free and open to the public. As always, all ages are welcome.
