Collaborative
Lopez Lake field trip Saturday, February 24th, 9AM
Join
MCAS leaders Chuck Woodard and Jan Surbey and California Native Plant Society
and Sierra Club leader Bill Waycottt for this trip featuring both birds and
plants. Depending on the group size, the
trip will likely be divided into two sections, with those interested in birding
staying in more open areas and along the lakeshore searching for waterfowl and
oak-woodland species. and those interested in plants using the trail. For those
wanting more hiking, a continuation of the trail to the top of the Dune Vista
lookout is an option. All of the groups
will reconvene around noon near the starting area for a picnic lunch (bring
your own).
